Basically, i’d like somthing with a screen that’s not too small, good battery life, a good amount of memory, easy use, maybe compatible with a lot of different file types, and costing no more than $250, but i’d prefer under $200 if i can.

iPod nano sounds interesting, but the screen is sorta small, and it only has 8 gb. iPod touch is great, but it costs a lot. Zune by microsoft sounds nice too.

does anyone know whare i can get a free or cheep program that takes physical DVDs, unburned, like a brand new movie from walmart and turn it into a single file, like MP4, MPEG and or AVI?

Both my daughters received a Disney Mix Max for Christmas from Grandma this year, it plays songs, videos and pictures. Problem is one of them is not working to hold the videos while the other is. We have been through non-working ones and will not try a fourth of the same one.

So we are now in the market for something similar: an mp3 player that will play songs, videos and pictures- preferably not more than $100

Sorry I don't have recommendations for a specific player. If no one else can recommend one I would suggest going to CNet.com and look for portable video players then click on reviews.
