“It’s like a uhm …
“It’s like a uhm like a PMP and things like that? Eh uhm like, wha’ evah, an stuff? Yuh? I’s got fings and like stuff? Like, uhm, 7 inch? Yuh?”
The “up” inflection is a rising inflection. Caused by watching too much Neighbours on television. Domestically, a sign of immaturity, laziness or indecision.
Does this girl forget that there are “r’s” and “t’s” in some words? “Hard” becomes “hahhd” , “speakers” becomes “speakahhhhs” “Better” becomes “beh-aaah”. “Traveller” becomes “t’avallah”.

I’m an Aussie and …
I’m an Aussie and wouldn’t call that an Australian inflection. I have heard a lot of Brits do it but not Australians.
October 29th, 2008 at 9:22 am
I agree about the ‘ …
I agree about the ‘up’ inflection. As the poster below states, it is where this girl keeps going up at the end of her sentences, thus making a statement sound like a question. Becomming very common in UK now.

pencil thingy? …
pencil thingy? Geez, the term is stylus! How can sound be tinny and good at the same time?
October 29th, 2008 at 9:22 am
You obviously don’t …
You obviously don’t know what an Australian inflection is. It means that you raise the tone at the end of a sentence to make it sound like a question. You don’t have to be Australian to use it. Products cannot present themselves in a review. Skilled presenters make the difference between switch off or watch. Nothing wrong with constructive criticism. That’s what I’m giving.

she says “the …
she says “the speakers are quite tinny” and then goes on to say “the sound’s quite nice” god…
October 29th, 2008 at 9:22 am
I heard NO …
I heard NO Austrailian inflection, sounds as English as me!
Lay off the girl, it’s a review of the product not her.
Let’s see your attempt aye.

Zara needs to work …
Zara needs to work on her presentation skills.
The Australian inflection at the end of every sentence, get rid of it! “Like” at the start of almost every sentence. The constant fidgeting with the Archos drives you mad. Not a polished presentation yet, but a good try.

But then again i dont think this was designed for your pocket was it? more of a pass the time thing on a long journey is that right? 605 has a tempting price £250 for 160gb

Great review. …
Great review. Screen susceptible to scratches and fingerprints? What screen isn’t? You can get a screen protector, a tough thin clear film that sticks on, and can be easily changed if needed. Many handheld screens have those as an aftermarket solution for avoiding scratching the actual screen surface. Check kensington screensavrz… etc.

Nice review. …
Nice review. Having to download/buy extras (eg docking, DivX etc) does seem weird on a device that expensive.
